Easter (So Late, I Know)

I love how this picture shows that we’ve only been up for 5 minutes!

Hunting for Eggs

Showing off her loot.

This is the first time we’ve been home for Easter in 2 years.  It was nice to enjoy it in our PJs and to go to church and have the kids focus on the true meaning of Easter.

Random iPhone Snapshots

I do, love, love, love my iphone!  Here are some recent, random happenings caught by the phone camera:

IMG_0054

Calla and her “having some blanket.”  She is clearly “having some” in this picture.  We are pretty sure she is going to have to go off to college with this blanket!

IMG_0064

Toothless!  Even though it’s March, he’s been singing, “All I Want for Christmas.”

IMG_0065

Visiting with cousins and holding, “a real, live baby!”

IMG_0071

Making bread.  Very exciting.

IMG_0072

Making our children pose for advertising shots…just kidding!  She really does just LOVE to make bread, or stand at the counter and “help” with just about anything going on in the kitchen!  She came up with this pose entirely of her own doing, I swear.

More toothless cousins.

IMG_0076

Cutie!

Dad, would you mind having your birthday twice a year, so we have an excuse to eat German Chocolate Cake more?  So yummy!

Snowmen at School

Today at Hadden’s school the Buehners (Snowmen at Night, Snowmen at Christmas, Taxi Dog, The Escape of Marvin the Ape, etc.) came and talked about their books and about publishing.  He LOVED it!  We love all their books and saw a few more there we don’t have…yet.

Christmas

2010 December 001

We spent Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa’s in Salt Lake this year.  The kids enjoyed lots of chaos and new toys with cousins.  We also got to have Chris for two whole days since Christmas was on Saturday!

San Francisco

On Thursday night, we went to dinner with our good friends, Ken and Emily Sim. Chris and Ken gave Emily and I envelopes with a travel itinerary for a trip to San Francisco, leaving the next afternoon! Emily and I are both type A’s, so we weren’t sure what to think of this at first, but we had a great time! Thanks guys!

We hiked to the top of the hill and saw Coit Tower. Unfortunately, the stairs were closed and the elevator was being renovated, so we didn’t make it to the top of the tower, but the view from the hill was still great…

Then we walked across the city to the next biggest hill and saw…

Lombard Street, aka the crookedest street.

The houses were adorable

The view was great. See the tower there in the distance?

DSC01362

This was the view from our hotel room window. Hadden has not ceased to be full of questions about Alcatraz!

Ghirardelli Square. Mmmmm, chocolate.

DSC01370

The view of the Golden Gate from the end of the pier.

We ate at Boudin’s every day. It was SO YUMMY! There is a big glass window where you can watch this lady (she was there every day!) make these…

DSC01374

So cute!

The next day it rained and then it POURED! We were soaked…

Then we came home to our thoughtful husbands and our cute kiddos…
